1965, this unique French 14-track 'Greatest hits' album has
become one of The Beatles' rarest worldwide releases. It is notable for its cover photo (aka 'The Horse Cover') which was taken in 1964 by German photographer Curt Gunther in Alton, Missouri, U.S.A This exremely rare 1st pressing is on the dark blue & silver Odeon label (later changed to orange & black). Housed in fully laminated, bi-flipback "Colombet, Paris" printed cover with the 'CBS' wording & logo on the lower flipback which is present on initial 1st pressing covers only. *BIEM (Bureau International des Societes Gerant les Droits d'Enregistrement et de Reproduction Mecanique) handles the copyrights for 52 different countries. |
