COMMENTS
In late 1968, all new Beatles releases switched to the Apple label. By April, however, France had become part of the European Economic Community (EEC). From that point on, most records, new and rerelease, would be issued with the new EEC numbering system. Most albums from "Yellow Submarine" on feature the new numbering.
This first Apple label style continued through 1971.

The EMI country codes (introduced on 1 June, 1969): In most cases the EMI Codes are the first two letters of the records catalog#. These EMI Country Codes were used to indicate the country in which the record was pressed. Note this doesn't necessarily means the record was also released in that country.

(*) MSP Records
French printing house. Usually credited on the back of records sleeves with the "msp" logo, with "Imprimerie" on its left and a telephone number on its right. Another way they are credited is with simple typeface "Imp. MSP" often followed by a telephone number (although not stating it is one) like "808-19.10" and "Imprimé en France".
