"GOLDEN
OLDIES" series. German 7" single reissue series released by Electrola Gesellschaft m.b.H. in 1971/72. The first releases denotes the printer Carl v. d. Linnepe. The company name changed in early 1972 to Druckhaus Maack KG. So releases with this printer credit dates not before 1972. Please be aware that there are sometimes multible rear cover versions with different advertisment. During 1972 EMI merged with Electrola Gesellschaft m.b.H., so we find EMI Electrola credited top left side on the front cover. Later versions denotes EMI Electrola GmbH as the record company. Released on a German pressed disc with a unique picture sleeve. Green label and Odeon logo mark in white was printed above the center hole. 1st. Press: Back of picture sleeve Different back: Advert for Los Diablos and 8 other singles (*)Druckhaus Maack KG: German printing company, located in Lüdenscheid, that emerged from Carl v. d. Linnepe in 1972. Also appears as simply "Maack Lüdenscheid". The company existed as Druckhaus Maack KG until 1987, as Druckhaus Maack GmbH & Co. KG between 1987 and 1993 and as Druckhaus Maack GmbH from 1993 on. In October 2000 the company was sold to the TOPAC Multimedia Print GmbH, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann AG. The location was finally closed in 2003. (from Discogs) |
