Green label and Odeon
logo mark in white
was printed above the center hole. "MADE IN GERMANY (straight)" and 45 in a triangle were printed at the bottom of the label. White-label demos are dated 12 April 1964 meaning official release was a few weeks later. The Original Odeon label single's appear in two slightly different styles. The first of these styles, features the following print around the rim of the label: ALLE HERSTELLER. UND URHEBERRECHTE VORBEHALTEN ÜBERSPIELUNG ÖFFENTLICHE AUFFÜHRUNG UND RUNDFUNKSENDUNG UNTERSAGT (All rights of the manufacturer reserved. Copying, public performance, and radio broadcast prohibited.) Comes in original beatles picture company sleeve - was original released like that. 1st. Press: LABEL: Green Odeon label, white logo and black print Details: A-side: BIEM and GEMA, B-side: BIEM and GEMA 2nd. Press: LABEL: Green Odeon label, white logo and black print Details: A-side: GEMA, B-side: GEMA "GEMA**/BIEM***" :a marking that indicates what company is responsible for the copyright payments for the material released on the record to the proper publishers. It is important to remember that a record with the above-mentioned marking isn't necessarily made in Germany but which was intended for sale in Germany. |
