COMMENTS | Using the normal Apple EP label of the time,
Japanese Odeon chose to release all twelve of the British EP's which they had not issued before. These too were issued as Compact 33's ‐‐on June 25, 1970. A few of the titles are known to exist on red vinyl. All of the above EP’s were issued at first when the price was 600 Yen. Later these were stickered with the higher price of ¥700. Still later copies simply show the ¥700 price. Even later, they were reissued with a reference to EMI on the label. Japanese 10th. EP in "UK release series". Similar design as the UK EP of the same name. On Apple Records "Made in Japan" with dark green apple label. Stereo: 33 r.p.m. with the small hole , Insert and obi strip. The design of Apple white label promo singles differs markedly from commercial Apple singles. Promo versions eliminate perimeter print and feature a line drawing of the Apple logo at the label top. All print is black. Notice the promo characters inside the rectangle to the left of the Apple logo and release date to the right. "She Loves You", the original stereo master tape is widely believed to have been lost, since every release of the song has been in mono. How the stereo tape was lost has never been fully ascertained. Although the track has never been released in true stereo officially, which were released in "Duophonic" (Electronically Simulated Stereo). |
