COMMENTS
The Beatles' 2nd. E.P.
The Beatles second official E.P. ... although it's catalogue number is lower than Twist And Shout.
This second E.P. contained the first three hits and one B-side, and interrupted the run at No.1 of "Twist And Shout".
"Please Please Me" is the original single version (without "the mistake"), and "Love Me Do" is the album version (Drums:Andy White).
ALL tracks are attributed as writers to ... "McCartney - Lennon".
The earliest pressings were missing the "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963" statement on the label.

The publisher's name was printed in "Sans-Serif" type on the both sides of the label.
The song titles and the composer's name were printed in "Sans-Serif" type on the both sides of the label.

COMMENTS
Beginning in 1964, Parlophone (and all the other EMI companies) began printing a phrase in the centers of all their singles, EP's and LP's, which said:

SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO
RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS,
SEE PRICE LISTS.

This notice appears on the labels of every UK market EMI product, from very early 1964, right through mid-1969.

The publisher's name was printed in "Roman" type on both sides.
The EP's title, the song titles and the composer's name were printed in "Roman" type on both sides.

BuPr Pressing = Printed by Buckland Printers
They are a third printing company that EMI contracted alongside Garrod and Lofthouse specifically for the production of EP covers since the overflaps are completely different to the G & L design; they're smaller and squared off whilst the G & L overflaps are thick and rounded. The BuPr sleeves are also found on the original presses so perhaps they were contracted in because G & L's EP sleeve printers couldn't handle the huge surge in demand? Perhaps BuPr were asked to help with production during this huge increase in demand.
