Parlophone label with silver print: the name "THE PARLOPHONE CO. LTD.(capital letter)" on the outer rim, and the "RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" statement was added. The word "mono", on upper right of the front cover, is medium size. Beginning in 1964, Parlophone (and all the other EMI companies) began printing a phrase in the centers of all their singles, EP's and LP's, which said: SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RESALE PRICE CONDITIONS, SEE PRICE LISTS. Off the Beatle Track is a 1964 album by George Martin & His Orchestra, released 10 July by United Artists Records in the United States and 3 August by Parlophone in the United Kingdom. It is the first of a series of albums by Martin featuring instrumental arrangements of Beatles songs. It is also the first LP Martin released under his own name. Whilst trying to think of a title for the first Beatles album, George Martin came up with "Off The Beatle Track". Although this idea was rejected, clearly Mr. Martin liked the title and used it himself in 1964 for this outing. One single was released from this L.P. - "I Saw Her Standing There" b/w "All My Loving" (Parlophone R 5135). The sleeve notes on the rear of the album are by John Lennon. Here are some quotes from it : "George Martin is a tall man, he is also a musician with short hair." "Us Beatles are genuinely flattered that a 'real musician' as we call him should turn his talents to arranging an L.P. of our songs." "Some of the sounds on the album may be new to you, like a jews harp and a twelve stringed finger, but the results are great and I think he should get a raise." "Good George Martin is our friend Buddy, Pal and Mate. Buy this record and he'll send A dog for your front gate." by the Beatles a band. |

C5 Records or C-Five
Records Label. Parent Label: See For Miles Records Ltd. See For Miles Records Ltd.: British record label founded in 1982 by Colin Miles and Mark Rye. Label Code: LC 22855 Sometimes shortened to "See For Miles Records". "See for Miles" reissued most of the records of many labels including Dandelion Records on CD in the 1990s. The name hints both to its co-owner Colin Miles and The Who's "I Can See for Miles". Miles worked for his SFM partner Mark Rye at EMI on their re-issue programme, and they reunited after Miles had established the label upon leaving EMI. The company went into administration and in 2007 the label rights were sold to Phoenix Music International. Rye then went on to form Pucka Records, GVC Records and the RockHistory.co.uk project as well as continuing the Magpie Direct mail order company that he had created whilst at See For Miles. Attention: Lot of the releases state 'Made in France'. Please don't confuse this with the release country. The versions were released in the UK.
