Double LP with gatefold cover.
The first cover had outlets at its top, as it was called as the "Open Top" cover. Flaps inside the gatefold cover were visible at the left and the right sides. Each LP was issued with large poster and four glossy photos of each Beatle. Early copies were issued with a protector sheet placed on the top of each photo and have custom black inner sleeve. Each LP is sequentially numbered on lower right of front cover. The music publisher's name for George's and Ringo's songs was printed "Apple Publishing Ltd." Afterward, "Harrisongs Ltd." and "Startling Mus." |

The printing style and layout of the back cover are completely different from the U.S. issue. The U.K. Issue has the liner note written by Derek Taylor. At the bottom left of the back cover, the old Apple mark, which looks like a drawing, and the word "APPLE RECORDS" was printed. |

COMMENTS
|
"New" Apple label: This label may looks almost the same as the previous type, but the only difference is the credit around the label. It was changed in the early 1980s to renew the credit to "Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting" are prohibited. LP cover cannot be found with "Her Majesty" listed, but on the label, this song title was printed. The inner flap was made from the front cover and glued with paste to the back cover. |

This album cover was designed in July 1969, but release was cancelled. Afterward, the album title was changed "Get back" into "Let it be" , and in January 1970, cover was redesigned using the same photograph. But this type was cancelled too. Finally, the album "Let It Be" was released as "14-1" style. |

COMMENTS
|
The last album "Let It Be" was released as a boxed set. All boxed type came with the "THE BEATLES GET BACK" photo book, and some boxed set came with an Apple promotional poster. Three kind of cover were used for the boxed set, all of which were glossy and soft: 1) with the Parlophone logo at the lower center of the back cover, and under the logo, Apple's name was not credited. 2) with the Apple mark instead of Parlophone on the back cover. It was a "red apple". And under the Apple mark, "Apple Records" was credited. 3) the same design as the cover 2) , but the color of the apple on the back cover strangely changed to bluish Green. |
