COMMENTS

This single was made in 1968 for export.
The single looked like a normal Parlophone 45 disk, with one exception: the statement, "SOLD IN U.K. SUBJECT TO RELEASE PRICE CONDITIONS. SEE PRICE LIST", does not appear on the label, because they were not to be sold in England.

This 1968 single was pressed in the UK for export only on the black and silver Parlophone label - in the UK itself 'Hey Jude' appeared as the band's first single release on the newly-formed Apple label. Apart from the type of catalogue number used (DP570) the label is identical in every respect to other UK Parlophone pressings of the time with 'The Gramophone Co. Ltd.' perimeter text, right down to a 'KT' tax code on the intact push-out centre.

The picture sleeve features a colour photograph of the band taken during the filming of the 'Paperback Writer' and 'Rain' promo films at Abbey Road in May 1966, with a psychedelic-style orange logo above and a Swedish language article on the band printed on the reverse.

There are two kind of sleeves;
Type-1: the sleeve pockets for the records opened at the side and there is no photo on back.
Type-2: issued with a straight cut across the top of sleeve and the same design on both side.
