"Cry for a Shadow" is
an early Beatles instrumental. It was recorded on 22 June
1961 at the Friedrich-Ebert-Halle, Hamburg-Harburg, Germany
while they were performing as Tony Sheridan's backup band
for a few tracks. It was written by George Harrison with
John Lennon as a parody of The Shadows style. This single exists in only one known official version and have an orange label. There is no British edition of this single with a red label. 1st.pressing was manufactured two ways: both with and without the push-out center. *Cry For A Shadow: Instrumental (Performance only by the Beatles) Version A *Why: Lead Vocal: Tony Sheridan / Backing play: The Beatles Version A |
