COMMENTS
|
From Michelle onwards,
up to Strawberry Fields Forever / Penny Lane, the last juke
box release used the juke box company covers,
they all carried FOS prefixes and had three-digit catalogue
numbers. The release date of this last record - which was not deposited at the National Library - is estimated between 17 and 23, February1967 (respective release dates of the English single 45T Parlophone R5570 "Strawberry Fields Forever" / "Penny Lane" and the French super 45T MEO 134 "Strawberry Fields Forever" / "And Your Bird Can Sing" / "Penny Lane" / "I'm Only Sleeping"). It is characterized by a promotional white label, which is confirmed by the mention "Limited edition reserved for jukebox operators and Promotion", placed just above the title of each song. There is no trumpet ending on the French promo single: Penny Lane. Eight singles came in that cover, four of those on the old arched Odeon label (Michelle / Run For Your Life; Yesterday / You've Got To Hide Your Love Away; We Can Work It Out / Day Tripper; Girl / Drive My Car), three on the red Odeon-EMI label, (Paperback Writer / Rain; Nowhere Man / The Word; Eleanor Rigby / Yellow Submarine), plus one on the white Odeon-EMI label, (Strawberry Fields Forever / Penny Lane).
