Between 1963
and early 1965 Beatles albums were issued in mono only on a
red "Parlophon" label. In mid 1965 Parlophone issued Beatles
albums on a silver and black label. All of the earlier LP's were reissued onto this label style. New LP's came to be issued in stereo as well as mono. The label design remained unchanged until 1968 / early 1969 when EMI printed its new "Parlophone" label. It is the seventh Italian LP. Apparently, it looks identical to the UK version, but its back sleeve is completely different from the UK release as it shows a full colour picture of the Beatles. Rubber soul logo is not the original one: it was redesigned in a slightly different form, which looks like a skinny (slimmed-down) version of the original. 1st press COVER: Single pocket type. Laminated front and back sides. boxed "Dischi Parlophon" logo bottom left on front; "DISCHI PARLOPHON logo CARISH s.p.a. MILANO" bottom on inside.
