Metro was a budget subsidiary of MGM Records. It operated between 1965 and 1968, reissuing many of the albums previously issued on the MGM/Verve family of labels. Often the Metro reissues were abridged, having only ten songs instead of the original twelve. All of the albums were issued in both mono and stereo, although the "stero" versions were many times rechanneled. The label was a flat black with silver print, with the "metro" in large letters at the top of the label.
