COMMENTS
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Beatles invasion of America, Capitol Records once again prepared a limited edition reissue of the I Want To Hold Your Hand single.
While the 20th anniversary package had noticeable differences from the original, this time Capitol replicated as closely as possible the 1964 West Coast sleeve and record.

As was the case with the 1964 sleeve manufactured by Bert-Co Enterprises of Los Angeles, the Dezo Hoffmann picture of the group is cropped at the top cutting off the upper part of George's head.
30th anniversary sleeve, Capitol did not remove the cigarette from Paul's right hand.
The thirtieth anniversary sleeve  also has a tab cut at the top front.

To tell the difference between the reissue and the original, one must examine the Capitol logo. The reissue has periods in the small print "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF." The original does not.
The labels to the 30th anniversary record faithfully duplicate the first-run labels printed by Bert-Co, including the 1-134 release code and the Walter Hofer publishing credit on the B side. The reissue, which was mastered by Wally Traugott and pressed by Specialty Records, is easily distinguishable by the presence of a "Manufactured by Capitol" machine stamp in the trail off areas.

The sleeve and record came in a clear mylar sleeve  with a limited edition sticker on one side and a bar code sticker on the other.
