issued
the record on 4th. June 1969 as Apple 2531. In the U.S., the single was issued in a white background picture sleeve featuring a different color photo of the Beatles and Yoko Ono on each side. There are two variations of the picture sleeve: 1) The east coast sleeves: they were printed and manufactured by Queens Litho in New York, have straight cut tops. 2) The west coast sleeves: they were made by Bert-Co Enterprises in Los Angeles and have a large rounded tab across the top of the "Ballad" side. (=this record) The first pressings have Capitol logo perimeter print. 1) The discs pressed by Capitol's Los Angeles factory have light green apple labels.(=this record) 2) The Scranton records have dark green apple label. Later pressings of the single have Apple perimeter print on the A side. 1) There are Los Angeles pressings with light green apples 2) Jacsonville pressings with dark green apple. |
