The MGM single was released on

January 1964, MGM prepared a green
title sleeve. MGM black label. Artist credited as "THE BEATLES With Tony Sheridan". No slow intro. Credited to The Beatles with Tony Sheridan, the single My Bonnie/The Saints was re-released in America on this day, to capitalise on The Beatles' growing fame. The single, which had the catalogue number MGM K-13213, reached number 26 on the Billboard charts. It had previously been issued by Decca with the catalogue number 31382, on 23 April 1962. (1)The singles pressed for the East Coast were manufactured by MGM's factory in Bloomfield, New Jeersey. The labels for these disks were printed by Pace Press in New York. (2)West Coast singles were pressed by H.V. Waddell Co. in Burbank, California. The labels to the first pressings do not list a publisher's name, but rather state "P.D. ASCAP" indicating that the song rights are in the public domain. However, My Bonnie is credited to song-writer H.J. Fuller. East Coast version (type 1-A): The labels do not contain a reference to MGM's Beatles album.(=this record) West Coast version (type 1-B): The labels also have a reference to the MGM Beatles album, "From Album E/SE 4215" under the artist name. Second press: The labels were revised to credit the song publishing to "Hill & Range Songs, Inc. BMI." In addition, "(Arr. Tony Sheridan)" appears below the song title on each side.
