COMMENTS
|
In late 1964 and early
1965, Parlphone-S.A. was in transition. The new label color
was dark blue, and the Rhodesian issue has the rim print
begins "Unauthorised public performance...." cf. South African pressing has the rim print begins "All rights of the manufacturer...." First pressings were released in mono only. *Rhodesia: A country in south-central Africa, south of what is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Today it is called Zimbabwe. In the early British colonial period it was administered by the British South Africa Company. It has been inhabited since ancient times. *The courtesy of Mr. Dave Cooper (Thanks!) |
