This page introduces Beatles records released in
South Africa.
The Beatles never performed in South Africa or
Southern Rhodesia, but their music was widely
available in the country.
Rhodesia: A country in south-central Africa, south
of what is now the Democratic Republic of the
Congo. Today it is called Zimbabwe. In the early
British colonial period it was administered by the
British South Africa Company. It has been
inhabited since ancient times. *The courtesy of

The Beatles' South African pressings were released
on the Parlophone label, and were similar to the
albums released in England. The first few albums
were released on a black-and-silver label with a
three-dimensional Parlophone logo.
The albums were released in South Africa at around
the same time as in England.
The label was available in both mono and stereo.
The bottom line of the rim print reads "Pressed
for or by a registered user"
The "Association of the Southern African
Phonographic Industry" credit and Printer's name
"artone" were printed at the bottom of the back
cover.
For each item, we have collected as many
variations as possible from each era and arranged
them in order of release.
We have introduced the jackets, records, sleeves,
lyric sheets, etc. in the combinations that were
released at the time, to the extent that we can.
We hope this will be helpful for your collection.
