Parlophone Album Cover Style
(Update: 12th. December 2011)

Rubber Soul
The Mono/Stereo sleeve variation
EMI mainly used covers from two different companies: Ernest J. Day and Garrod & Lofthouse. The covers from Garrod & Lofthouse were most common ones.
The mono/stereo logo is usually printed at the right upper portion of the front cover. There are some variations in the logo's size:

1)
Rubber Soul MONO (PMC 1267)

COMMENTS
Ernest J. Day sleeve did not have the words "TRADE MARK OF THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD." under the Parlophone logomark.
In the original photo taken for the cover, there is a loose thread on right shoulder of John's jacket. This was airbrushed out on most covers in the U.K. Some countries did not alter the photo (ex. Mexico)

COMMENTS
Most of all U.K. printed covers for this LP came with no front stereo indicator. However a few copies were manufactured with a silver, or in this case small black "stereo" logo in the upper right corner and its original U.S. retail price sticker ($ 2.50) and shrink-wrapping.
According to the record store information, there were produced for export only as the only copies they have ever found have come direct from the U.S.
