Limited edition
picture record. The Abbey Road picture disc has an image of the album's front cover on side-1 and an image of the back cover without the text on side-2. It was packaged in a die-cut psychedelic-patterned multi-colored cover with a large open hole on the front that exposed the picture disc. The back cover has the same psychedelic pattern as the front, with the song titles centered in black print running top to bottom. Many copies came with a small sticker stating "LIMITED EDITION" adhered to the shrink wrap. Capitol reportedly pressed 150,000 copies of the Abbey Road picture disc. Pic Veu Records: produced by the Pic Disc, Inc. division of the Fitzgerald-Hartley management company, specialized in producing picture discs for U.S. major labels. Fitzgerald Hartley: Artist management company with their first office in California and their second office around 1985 in Nashville. One of their first signed artists for their Nashville facility was Restless Heart. Their official website fitzhart.com is now defunct/expired. |
