COMMENTS
The white label promo record was pressed in L.A. and has a mono (reduced from stereo) mix on the PRO-8901 side and a stereo mix on the other side.

Renewed interest in the Beatles surfaced in the summer of 1978 with the release of the film "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band". Capitol responded by launching a campaign pushing the original (Picture disc record), which included a single pairing the title song segued into "With A Little Help From My Friends" with "A Day In The Life".
Released on 14th. August 1978, the single's lukewarm reception matched that of the movie.
