COMMENTS
|
First Press: Orange and
yellow swirl label without "subsidary" print.
The picture sleeve for the Capitol single uses the same
Robert Freeman color photograph of the group, dressed in
black and looking somber, that orginally served as the back
cover to U.K. Beatles For Sale LP. The section above the
picture is white with "THE BEATLES" in red, the song titles
in tan and the catalogue number 5587 and the Capitol logo in
black.
The labels appearing on original issue of the single failed to give Ringo co-writers
credit for "What Goes On"
Nearly all of the Capitol Beatles' records were pressed by
Capitol on both the East Coast and the West Coast.
