In spite of this fact, this record was introduced as a Beatles LP and Tony Sheridan, from this moment on, had to settle for a lesser position. All of the titles on the LP, except “Nobody’s Child”, were already released earlier on records in mono in Germany when this LP was released. As to the rest of the material on this LP, were The Beatles participate, both “My Bonnie”, “The Saints”, “Cry For A Shadow” and “Why” had already been released earlier in stereo in Germany. With this LP however, “Ain’t She Sweet”, “Sweet Georgia Brown”, “If You Love Me, Baby / Take Out Some Insurance, Baby” and “Nobody’s Child” was released for the first time in stereo in Germany. It it worth nothing that on this LP, “My Bonnie” doesn’t have the slow introduction any more, and “Sweet Georgia Brown” is the new version with the over-dubbed vocal by Tony Sheridan. |
