jacket The first U.K. seven albums were first issued on vinyl in America on 21 July, 1987, on the NEW rainbow label. They were switched to the purple label in 1988. The next six albums were first remastered in 1988, by which time Capitol was using the purple label.
All albums, except "Past Masters", were reissued in 1995. "The Beatles", "Yellow Submarine", "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be" were pressed with Apple labels. The other 1995 reissues have purple labels.
The albums had a small sticker stating "LIMITED EDITION" adhead to the shrinkwrap.
