At the beginning of 1977, almost ten years after Magical Mystery Tour, the last EP release in Germany, EMI decided to issue a series of EPs again, this time with identical cover artwork and only changing hues, from a bright yellow to purple, calling it, in German, The Greatest Four, pun intended. By then, this format had become so unusual that the company felt the need to inform its customers on the front covers of the discs that these single-sized records contain 4 unedited, fully played songs. |
