 U.S.S.R. LPs

Flag of the Soviet Union This index covers LPs containing recordings by The Beatles released in the Soviet Union between 1986 and 1991. The first Beatles-only Soviet LPs, A Hard Day's Night and A Taste of Honey, were issued by the state-owned Melodiya label in January 1986. They were also available together as a two-record set.
In 1991, AnTrop issued The Beatles (the White Album) as a double LP. Two further Beatles LPs, The Beatles Hits and Abbey Road, appeared in Tashkent, in present-day Uzbekistan, toward the end of the Soviet period.
Entries are arranged by documented release date or approximate period of issue. Where known, differences in sleeves, labels, matrices, and pressing plants will be documented on the individual record pages.
