were mainly released by two labels, Vee-Jay Records and
Capitol Records. Vee-Jay, the first label to release Beatles recordings in the US, released an EP called "Souvenir of Their Visit to America" in 1964. This was released to commemorate The Beatles' arrival in the US. Capitol Records, as the official label, released two EPs in 1964-1965. These EPs mainly featured songs from existing albums, re-edited for the US market. However, due to limited demand for EPs in the US, Capitol Records stopped releasing EPs early. Capitol also released jukebox EPs, interview records, etc. |
