Capitol Records: 1971 Reissue
Apple Label
[1971#2-1976]

image In the spring of 1971, Capitol began pressing Beatles 45s and albums on the Apple label. At that time, Capitol was issuing Beatles albums on its lime green label featuring the company's new circle logo. The pre-Apple album catalog—ranging from Meet The Beatles! through Magical Mystery Tour—was pressed on the Apple label until late 1975, when Capitol transitioned to its then-current orange label.

Each title in this series has three basic variations:
  • Apple labels with Capitol logo perimeter print on the sliced apple side
  • Apple labels with Apple perimeter print on the full apple side
  • Apple labels featuring the "all rights" language introduced in 1975.
